Project 11: Lethenty Mill Kitchen Table

Build your own attractive complete Kitchen Table, using traditional Scottish woodworking techniques.

This manual teaches you to make a table measuring 680mm x 1430mm. It's easy to make a larger version of it; if you are sourcing your own material, simply 'stretch' the cutting list to suit.

If you want to make this table in a larger size and you'd like us to supply the materials, tell us the desired length and breadth and we will change the cutting list accordingly

The table that emerges from the given sizes would make a good side table or desk as well as a small kitchen table.
It is best to use southern yellow pine for the top, as it looks very like red pine but is straight grained and almost knot free (assuming you choose to make a pine, not a hardwood, table).
