Intermediate Woodworking Projects

Projects 5-10 are suitable for woodworkers at an intermediate level. As with the four basic projects, these project manuals include step by step instructions, colour photographs and detailed drawings.

Furniture-making projects to choose from include the LM Table Lamp Base, the Sma’ Kist and Kist, the LM Bedside Cabinet and the LM Dining Chair/Carver. Budding wood-turners can also hone their skills by tackling the Spurtle Set (project 8).

The intermediate projects are colour coded in blue for ease of identification.

Our self assembly wooden DIY kits should not be confused with today’s flat pack furniture packages. Our purpose is to teach traditional Scottish furniture-making skills and craft techniques, therefore the wood in our kits is not ready for immediate assembly – it will require further cutting, jointing and finishing (the fun part).
