Evening Classes
Our furniture-making evening classes are held three times a week on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays within our purpose-built workshops at Lethenty Mill, Inverurie, Aberdeenshire. Classes run in ten week blocks from 7.00pm - 8.30pm.
Woodworking students of all abilities are welcome at our furniture making evening classes, from the novice woodworker to the experienced craftsman or woman. During their ten week course, students have the opportunity to build items of traditional wooden Scottish furniture, such as the creepie stool, corner unit, bread box, table lamp base, sma' kist (tool chest), and kist (blanket chest).
An initial block of ten evening classes costs £220. This price includes a copy of "The Background Notes: A Guide to Working with Wood", a hard copy of the Creepie Stool Manual (project 1) and a Creepie Stool kit. Subsequent blocks of classes cost £120, with kits and manuals charged on a pro rata basis. Evening class attendees can also register to join the evening class group within our woodworking forum.
Dates for the next ten week blocks of evening classes are as follows:

Those who are unable to travel to evening classes, should consider tackling one of our home learning projects instead. Downloadable PDF manuals and self-build kits are available for purchase online. Home learners can also gain support throughout their project by joining our free interactive woodworking forum.
